je suis d'accord sur le fait que "to progress" n'est pas approprié ici mais qu'il ne me le justifie pas en me disant "to progress---->pour progresser" <_<

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

what do you mean? i only understand the words to progess in your sentence :)

Posté(e)
je croyais que ça voulait dire seulement "pour finir" <_<

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Donc pour finir se dit "to to finish" :)

non progress c'est progresser et improve c'est s'améliorer. Donc en fait ça veut dire la même chose, mais improve c'est plus staile :)

there is a mistake in the tittle.

I think the word to progress is not appropriate. To improve is better.

The story of England

like that of many another land

is an interwoven pattern of

history and legend

The history of the world like

letters without poetry, flowers without perfume,

or thought without imagination,

would be a dry matter indeed

without its legends,

and many of these though

scorned by proof a hundred times,

seem worth preserving for

their own familiar sakes.
