elkjaer Posté(e) 18 août 2014 Posté(e) 18 août 2014 http://justtottenhamnews.com/tottenham-player-performances/10292 Etienne Capoue- Credit to him for stepping in alongside Kaboul and steadying the ship. Not at all surprised that he was chosen to start as he is becoming one of the most dependable players again for the team as he was before the injury last season at the Emirates. Did well. http://tbrfootball.com/learned-tottenham-hotspur-vs-west-ham/ Etienne Capoue: 1st Choice Defensive Midfielder Capoue was really strong on the ball, and wasn’t scared to get stuck in. What Sandro lacks was passing, The Frenchman has that all in abundance. But the best thing I’ve seen from him is his tackling! Capoue made 3 interceptions and 2 tackles and that’s not even including his 6 clearances (According to who scored.com). His performance was so good in defence for Tottenham that you wouldn’t even know if him or Capoue were the defender, on to his passing. Capoue has a pass completion of 85.5% each pass started a move, but Capoue would always look for Eriksen and the Dane would seek the final pass. Citer

QPR never threatened from midfield, and Capoue was a big part of the reason why. (7/10) http://hotspurhq.com/2014/08/25/earned-tottenham-spurs-qpr/ Etienne Capoue was a force in central midfield, winning possession alongside Bentaleb and playing the ball forward quickly. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/08/24/spurs-player-ratings-from-4-0-qpr-win-lamela-chadli-come-good-di/ Etienne Capoue 7.5/10 - The base in midfield for Spurs to play off, helped the home side completely overawe QPR in the middle of the park, and early on did some strong work to take the ball from the defence and begin attacks. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/24/tottenham-qpr-premier-league-match-report Etienne Capoue was commanding at the base of the Tottenham midfield, unflustered yet powerful in disrupting what rhythm the visitors could muster. Citer

elkjaer Posté(e) 22 septembre 2014 Posté(e) 22 septembre 2014 Tottenham sombre mais Capoue continue de tenir la route. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/09/22/midfielder-the-most-accurate-passer-in-the-epl/ Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue has completed the most passes in the Premier League to date. Capoue has emerged as a surprising leader of the passing statistics in England's top-flight, after becoming an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino's side since the Argentine manager's takeover of the club. Pochettino has an ethos of slick passing based football and Capoue's statistics show the demands that he places on his players to retain possession. The Frenchman is typically noted for his defensive qualities and strength, and regularly filled in a centre-back last campaign, but it is his technical ability which has been most evident so far. It should be noted that Capoue plays in a deep-lying role, where he regularly has a 'safe' option available to him when searching for team-mates to pass to, but his figures are still eye-catching. http://www.spurs-web.com/spurs-news/player-ratings-tottenham-players-rated-west-brom/ Etienne Capoue – He was the man of the match because of his presence in front of the back four. Without him, West Brom could have scored 2-3 more. http://metro.co.uk/2014/09/22/spurs-have-destroyed-structure-and-momentum-in-the-space-of-two-or-three-years-now-mauricio-pochettino-must-make-changes-4876914/ Etienne Capoue is strong and comfortable in his role but there’s an imbalance thanks to Mousa Dembele’s continued problem of never excelling at one particular role. elkjaer Posté(e) 29 septembre 2014 Posté(e) 29 septembre 2014 Encore un gros match à l'Emirates: http://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/2014/9/27/6854469/tottenham-hotspur-vs-arsenal-2014-man-of-the-match? Supposedly a defensive, conservative player, he looked nothing like it. The Frenchman was a factor in every aspect of the match and shone above his teammates, not because they were bad, but because he was so, so good. Citer
elkjaer Posté(e) 6 octobre 2014 Posté(e) 6 octobre 2014 Toujours au top: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/10/05/spurs-player-ratings-after-southampton-win-eriksen-shines-mason/ Etienne Capoue 7/10 - Led the midfield well in their increased level of closing down, and saw plenty of the ball in front of the defence. Well deserving of his continuing selection. http://addictedtospurs.co.uk/?p=4975 In midfield, Etienne Capoue and Ryan Mason played fantastically well together, chasing, tackling, pressing and moving the ball quickly when they had possession. Etienne especially was formidable once again and he is becoming invaluable to the team, and for sure once of the first names on the team sheet. Citer
